The Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE), a tuition-reciprocity agreement coordinated by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE), rewards a student's academic achievement by offering a reduced tuition level for students from participating western states.
The cost for tuition is in-state plus 50% of that amount. WUE ("woo-wee") is the largest program of its kind in the nation, and has been in operation since 1987.
WUE is not a short term exchange - - it is meant to be used for a full degree.
Residents from Wyoming are eligible for this program. Students are to check with the college/university to see if they participate in the WUE program.
An approximate savings on out-of-state tuition can be as high as $10,000 per year; or $40,000 for a bachelor's degree.
Contact the college directly to ask about your WUE options.
